Special Military Spouse Scholarships
Kaplan University/ThanksUSA Scholarship
In honor of the commitment and sacrifice made by our military families, Kaplan University will award up to 50 partial tuition scholarships in addition to the Kaplan University/ThanksUSA full scholarship award. Partial tuition awards will provide students with a tuition reduction of over 50% from standard tuition costs, and the full scholarship will cover the full cost of an online degree program at Kaplan University. Applicants must meet all ThanksUSA eligibility guidelines, have a 3.0 GPA from high school or prior college coursework, and be a first time student to Kaplan University pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree (excluding prelicensure and associate of science nursing programs). The scholarship is designed to aid a recipient who is the current spouse of an active-duty service member including those serving in the reserve or guard of the United States Armed Forces.
Please note – To apply you must complete the ThanksUSA online application and identify Kaplan University as your school of choice. If an applicant selects Kaplan University as their school of choice, but does not receive a Kaplan University scholarship, or declines the Kaplan University scholarship, they will still be considered for a $3,000 scholarship from ThanksUSA.
Linda J. Romeo Scholarship

This $4,000 scholarship will be awarded to a female military spouse residing in the National Capital Region attending Northern Virginia Community College.
Please note – To apply you must complete the ThanksUSA online application. If approved for ThanksUSA scholarship funds, applicants will be asked to complete a supplemental NVCC scholarship application.
