Gram's Gingerbread
-Adrienne

Mix:
5 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp ginger (I add more)
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg (I add more)
1 tsp cloves (I add more)
1 c Crisco, shortening, lard *do not use butter
1 c sugar
2 eggs

Roll. Cut. Bake 375 degrees for 8-10 min.
Bake a couple minutes longer if you are building gingerbread houses. Decorate with royal icing.

Bakes 1 standard house or 2 personal homes.
