ThanksUSA Pickleball Partnership Will Support Military FamiliesAssociation of Pickleball Professionals’ Tour to Include Military Appreciation Events
McLean, VA (May 1, 2021) – ThanksUSA today announced a major partnership with the Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP), the nation’s leading pickleball tour organization. The growing legion of pickleball athletes will take part in special events at APP Tournaments and introduce Americans in cities nationwide to ThanksUSA’s mission – providing scholarships and career development opportunities to America’s military children and spouses. The announcement comes on the first day of Military Appreciation Month. “Millions of pickleball players of all ages are obsessed with this sport which has only grown in this challenging year,” said Jon Rosa, President and CEO of ThanksUSA, in making the announcement. “That follows a five-year explosion in the game’s popularity. Channeling that extraordinary dedication and passion to our service members and their families makes our partnership a winning combination.” Pickleball evolved from its origins as a backyard game to a sport with Olympic aspirations. It is easy to learn and can be played for a lifetime. Players from a wide range of abilities enjoy physical, mental, and social health benefits that ThanksUSA aims to share with military Veterans.
