When her father was diagnosed with cancer, Air Force dependent Tabitha Davis decided to dedicate her life to the medical field. Tabitha was awarded a $3,000 American Honda Foundation/ThanksUSA scholarship to continue a Behavioral Sciences major at Ashford University. “I intend to continue my education and earn a PhD in Epidemiology so I can conduct cancer-related research. I would also like to work with epidemiologists across the globe to help eradicate several infectious and chronic diseases.” |
Tabitha was selected as a National Academic Delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, volunteers at a local nursing home, serves as hostess for business events, and competes in USGA and PGA junior tour events. An advocate for military veterans, Tabitha has been recognized by Texas Veteran Commission Veteran Services Office for her pursuit of increased health care benefits for local veterans. “Thank you so much for recognizing me as an American Honda Foundation/ThanksUSA scholarship recipient! No words could adequately convey my gratitude for the opportunity to further my education. I assure you that I will remain fully committed to my educational pursuits as you have inspired me to do my best in all future endeavors.” Tabitha is a shining representation of ThanksUSA scholars. From April 1st through May 15th ThanksUSA will accept scholarship applications for the 2017-2018 academic year. Tabitha and thousands of her fellow military dependents -- and military spouses -- will apply for a ThanksUSA scholarship. The need is great and the ThanksUSA team encourages you to support these deserving students. |
