Marine Corps dependent Katelyn Partch has received consecutive Blavatnik Family Foundation/ThanksUSA scholarships totaling $6,000 for undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Katelyn recently graduated earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with minors in Mathematics, Spanish, and Biochemistry. With the ultimate goal of becoming a pediatrician, Katelyn is preparing for the MCAT and will work as an EMT while applying to medical schools. |

Although she pursued a rigorous pre-med curriculum -- with three minors -- Katelyn has always found time to help others. She volunteered at hospitals, museums, and a respite care center, mentored Girl Scouts through a STEM initiative, and even traveled to Peru where she assisted in medical clinics and taught children how to care for their teeth. Katelyn also worked at a translational medicine research clinic and served as a Health Science Scholar Mentor to freshman students. With such enthusiasm for helping others and academic perseverance, Katelyn will surely be a great medical student. ThanksUSA congratulates Katelyn on her recent accomplishments and we wish her success as she continues her academic journey. |
