Air National Guard dependent Brianna Kadlecik has received consecutive Col. Abraham M. Ehrlich/ThanksUSA scholarships totaling $6,000 for her undergraduate studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. With aspirations to share her knowledge and inspire others, Brianna majors in Religious Studies with a History minor. Although she is still considering multiple career paths, Brianna is confident that her education will prepare her for a life of service and teaching. |
“I enjoy learning about different religions and I want to share that knowledge with other people. Learning about the past has always been a passion of mine. I love teaching and helping people and I hope that with these degrees I will be able to teach in some way. I want to either go into seminary and become a pastor or continue with school and receive a doctorate degree in religious studies and become a college professor.” Brianna already shares her knowledge as a tutor for IUP's Religious Studies department. She is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honors Society, Campus Crusade for Christ, and enjoys playing the clarinet in the Concert Band and Clarinet Choir. Community service has always been important to Brianna. She has taught Vacation Bible School, helped young musicians hone their clarinet skills, tackled urban blight, and most recently began supplying fresh produce to local residents as a volunteer with the Indiana Community Garden. |
