The 2016-2017 academic year is off to a great start and we are excited to highlight this year's ThanksUSA scholarship recipients! Air Force spouse Haley Childress was awarded a $3,000 College Park Tennis/ThanksUSA scholarship to continue a Healthcare Administration major with an Accounting minor at Liberty University. During high school, Haley was at the hospital bedside of a dear friend as she passed away. Though deeply saddened, she was comforted knowing that her friend had received the best possible care and drew her last breath surrounded by friends and family. |
“I chose to major in healthcare administration because of this experience. This scholarship is allowing me to pursue an education that will allow me to make the world a better place.” An Air Force spouse stationed at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, Haley will graduate in December 2017 and commission as an officer in the United States Air Force. “I plan to serve alongside my husband until retirement then continue to work in the healthcare field as a civilian.” During her military service, Haley intends to pursue a graduate degree and mentor fellow service members and students. “I am so grateful for the College Park Tennis/ThanksUSA scholarship and hope to show future students the same generosity that you have shown me. Thank you again for the work you have put in to help fund my education.” |
