With the assistance of a $3,000 CVS Health/ThanksUSA scholarship, Yolanda Quarles will graduate from Barton College in the spring of 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. An Air Force spouse from Goldsboro, North Carolina, Yolanda looks forward to working as a Registered Nurse. “After a couple years of working as an RN, I plan to return to school to pursue my Masters in Nursing Education. Through countless hours of leading group studies and tutoring sessions on nursing courses, I realize that I have a passion for teaching.” |
To enhance her education, Yolanda is a member of the BCANS Nursing Club, participates in campus Health and Wellness Fairs, and volunteers at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Pharmacy. “Because of your generosity, I am able to further my educational goals without the concern of additional expenses. As a military spouse and mother of a wonderful four-year-old son, accomplishing these goals will also help me provide a better life for my family. Your scholarship makes a big difference in the lives of the students who are fortunate to receive it. Words cannot express the happiness and joy felt upon receiving the letter of selection for this scholarship and I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for your program. Once again, thank you.” |
