Blake Rowe has set a goal that most of us strive for. "As cliché as it sounds, I would like to make the world a better place. With the right educational opportunities, I believe that I can." This Marine Corps dependent was awarded a $3,000 Jackson Casey Fund/ThanksUSA scholarship to begin Political Science and Economics majors at Seton Hall University. Though his collegiate journey has just begun, Blake is considering service in the Marine Corps or continuing his education and applying to law school. |
"I am very appreciative of all you have done to help make college possible for me. I am currently a freshman at Seton Hall University in Orange, NJ, and I am from California, so it's a huge change for me. I am still trying to adjust to living in the dorms with roommates, and I am trying to stay on top of all of my school work. I cannot imagine finding the time to work right now, so thank you for making it possible for me to just focus on being a freshman." Blake has begun volunteering for Seton Hall University's DOVE (Department of Volunteer Efforts) program and hopes to participate in a study-abroad during his sophomore or junior year. "Thank you very much for the generous Jackson Casey Fund/ThanksUSA scholarship. This scholarship helps to offset many expenses and I thank you for helping students like me." |
