Sara was inspired to study politics after excelling in an AP Government class in high school and explains, “I have a strong interest in international relations and security and would like to continue down a path where I will have the ability to take part in and influence our country’s foreign policy.” This spring term promises to be an exciting one for Sara. She has been offered an internship to work on the Global Terrorism Database and will begin working on her Master’s degree early. Taking courses which count toward the completion of both her undergraduate and graduate degrees will allow her to complete her Master's in just one year. In addition to her busy academic schedule, Sara is also an enthusiastic member of the CUA Women’s Soccer team which recently won their second consecutive conference championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. The ladies enjoy working together on and off the field and perform community service duties throughout the year. |
“Thank you for giving the dependents of military personnel the opportunity to further our educations. I am very appreciative of the Jackson Casey Fund/ThanksUSA scholarship because it helps me continue my education at the institution I love. I hope that one day I will be successful enough to help students study at the school they love.” |
