 | Air Force dependent Karis Pitts was awarded a $3,000 Paladin Capital Group/ThanksUSA scholarship to continue a Musical Theatre major with a Dance minor at Kansas State University. “I grew up in a family of musically and theatrically inclined people. After graduation, I would be interested in working in schools, theatres, or dance studios. Considering the competitive world of fine arts, I will keep my mind open to options that aren't necessarily performing on Broadway.” |
| Fluent in American Sign Language, Karis is also interested in obtaining an ASL Interpreting License. “I want to become involved in the deaf community and teach fine arts to those with disabilities.”  As one of five children, Karis and her family are grateful for the financial assistance provided by the Paladin Capital Group/ThanksUSA scholarship. “Thank you very much for the opportunity to continue my education and strive for greatness. I greatly appreciate all that you do to make this possible for me and other recipients.”  Only five days remain for Karis and deserving scholars like her to apply for a 2017-2018 ThanksUSA scholarship.
