Air Force dependent Brianna Cupp was awarded a $3,000 Pershing Square Foundation/ThanksUSA scholarship to continue undergraduate studies at Stetson University in Florida. The daughter of a Purple Heart recipient, Brianna majors in Sociology with a minor in Education and the Certificate of Community Engagement. “My dream is to be able to have a positive impact on the lives of children. For me this will be in the form of becoming a Social Worker and working as a case manager for children in the foster care system." |
"I want to be a role model and source of inspiration to help push these children into better futures than they think they can obtain. I believe in the potential of these vulnerable children and I want to teach them to believe in themselves.” Brianna is a student of the Honors Program and serves as a Student Ambassador. She is also a member of the Bonner Program, an organization dedicated to community service and social justice. Through Bonner, she volunteers at a group home for teenage girls in the foster care system assisting with homework and acting as a mentor and guide to the girls. |
“The Pershing Square Foundation/ThanksUSA creates a positive chain reaction by lessening the financial burden on my family. I cherish the opportunities that this scholarship has afforded me.” Right now, your contribution to ThanksUSA will go even further in helping students like Brianna thanks to The Kovner Challenge Grant. Make a donation to ThanksUSA before June 30, 2017, and The Kovner Foundation will match it up to a total of $400,000! |
