Bridget Benhar was awarded a $3,000 San Diego District Tennis Association/ThanksUSA scholarship for her Bioengineering studies at the University of California in San Diego. The daughter of an Air Force Reservist, Bridget is enrolled in an intensive five-year undergrad program while also serving with the Air Force Reserve. |
Upon graduating in 2016, Bridget plans to commission with the United States Air Force and attend medical school. Ultimately, she hopes to serve our country as a flight surgeon. Bridget says, "Throughout my life, I've always dreamed of helping the world in as many ways as I possibly could. I personally believe that there is no better way to serve my country than to help treat and cure those sacrificing their lives to keep our great country free." To complement her studies, Bridget is active with the Bioengineering Society and Society of Women Engineers. |
