Air Force dependent Jessica Miller was awarded a $3,000 Stephen Curry/ThanksUSA scholarship to continue a Nursing major at Azusa Pacific University in California. “Throughout my life I have enjoyed helping others and I want to continue having that kind of impact through a career as a nurse.” Jessica has already started her clinical studies at local hospitals and enjoys practicing her nursing skills. “It is my goal to find a job at a hospital in Northern California as a registered nurse. I am unsure as to what department I want to serve in, but I know that any department will give me an opportunity to make an impact and help patients at the most vulnerable points in their lives.” |
In addition to her studies, Jessica is involved with several campus organizations. She has served as a freshman orientation leader, volunteers with the Salvation Army, and is making plans to study abroad in Cape Town, South Africa. “I would like to thank you for selecting me as the recipient of a Stephen Curry/ThanksUSA scholarship. This money will help me greatly to further my education and achieve the goal of becoming a registered nurse. Words cannot express how appreciative I am of this financial support. Thank you again!"
