Representing ThanksUSA scholarship recipients, Sarah Berg was on hand to congratulate Stephen Curry as he accepted the 2014-2015 KIA NBA MVP Award. The daughter of Senior Chief Michael Berg, USN (Ret) and Belinda Berg, Sarah has received consecutive Stephen Curry/ThanksUSA scholarships for her undergraduate studies at the University of California: Davis. In preparation for future humanitarian endeavors, Sarah majors in Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology.

Sarah has joined several organizations that compliment her studies while serving the local community and campus. She is a therapeutic horseback riding and driving instructor with TROTR, a member of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and serves as Historian for the Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority. 

"Words cannot describe how thankful I am for the Stephen Curry/ThanksUSA scholarship. Not having added financial pressure allows me to spend a lot of time volunteering. I have a heart for people with special needs and I love horses. This scholarship allows me to spend time serving special needs children through horsemanship -- thank you!"
