The spouse of an Army National Guard Veteran, Geri Lynn Maples has always loved and supported her extended military family. With experience in finance and mortgage, she decided to earn her degree in order to better serve her military clients. With the assistance of $6,000 in ThanksUSA scholarships, Geri Lynn completed her undergrad studies and graduated from Miami University in Ohio in 2012.
Staying true to her commitment to military families, Geri Lynn is a Mortgage Professional at Union Savings Bank specializing in Veterans Home Loans. She also co-founded the Midwest Veterans Network, a group of business professionals who work diligently, "Taking care of the families that gave so much to this country"

Geri Lynn works closely with the Ohio National Guard Family Readiness Committee, helping military families utilize their VA home loan benefit. "I am able to educate them on the benefit and how it works. One aspect of the close relationship I have with family readiness is the fact that I attend the quarterly RISFAC (Regional Inter-Service Family Assistance Committee) meetings in 3 Ohio regions. This committee consists of active community businesses and non-profit organizations that network to serve our brave men and women serving in the Ohio Army National Guard. A good number of them are also members of the Midwest Veterans Network."
Geri Lynn is always looking for ways to assist military families. She often represents Union Savings Bank and the Midwest Veterans Network at various functions that benefit veterans. She also works closely with area colleges, identifying the needs of veteran students and assisting them in finding resources.
