Allison Crandall received a $3,000 USA Funds/ThanksUSA scholarship to continue undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina. A student of USC’s Darla Moore School of Business, this Navy dependent plans to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. “My career goal is to become the healthcare manager of a hospital or medical center. I most enjoy working with people who love helping people as much as I do.” Plans are currently underway to travel to Ireland as a member of USC’s Capstone Scholars Program. |
Allison has plenty of experience helping others. She is a member of the USC Emerging Leadership Program, volunteers at homeless shelters and soup kitchens, and serves as Treasurer of the USC chapter of EcoReps. “Volunteering with others has strengthened my decision to have a career in the helping professions.” Allison is proud to play trumpet in USC’s Mighty Sound of the Southeast Marching Band and the Concocktion Pep Band. ThanksUSA scholarships have become a family tradition. Allison's sisters, Rebekah and Samantha, have received ThanksUSA scholarships totaling $24,000 for their respective studies at USC.
