| Rachel Patterson dreams of becoming a physician. With the assistance of a $3,000 USA Funds/ThanksUSA scholarship, this Air Force dependent has begun to realize her dream at Saint Louis University in Missouri. As a student of the prestigious Medical Scholars Program, Rachel majors in Biology with a concentration in Genetics. “After undergraduate, I plan to attend Saint Louis University Medical School to obtain an M.D. specializing in Clinical Genetics.” |  |
 To complement her studies, Rachel is a member of the pre-health club, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and is an Associate Member of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society. Though her studies are rigorous, Rachel always makes time to help others and grow in faith. She volunteers with Food Outreach Inc., which assists individuals affected by AIDS and cancer. She plays the flute and sings in the University’s Mass Choir, and is a member of the Catholic women’s group, Sorores in Christo. Rachel is currently looking into summer internship opportunities at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and hopes to study abroad during the summer of 2016. “Thank you to all those who make ThanksUSA possible.
