| The daughter of a retired Navy Reservist, Ireland Maguire was awarded a $3,000 USPTA/ThanksUSA scholarship to enter Utah State University where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and Allied Health. “In preparation to pursue my educational goal of becoming a nurse, I took the initiative last summer to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. In addition to receiving this certification, I also became both First Aid and CPR certified.” |  |
| Ireland’s long-term goal is to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She explains, “I enjoy children and would love to be able to put a smile on every child's face. Making people happy and helping them find joy provides the greatest satisfaction to me.” In addition to her studies, Ireland is very active with her church and enjoys volunteering on campus and in her local community. She belongs to the Pre-med club, serves on the Aggie Health committee, and volunteers with the "Best Buddies" program. “I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your generosity in awarding me the USPTA/ThanksUSA scholarship. I hope that this scholarship program will be able to continue helping others long into the future.” |
