Jackson Casey Fund
Meet Courtney, a Jackson Casey Fund/ThanksUSA scholar from Colorado studying Equine Science
A Note from General George Casey, USA (Ret)
In partnership with ThanksUSA, the Jackson Casey Fund was created to keep Jackson’s memory and spirit alive by providing need-based scholarships to children of the men and women of our Armed Forces. Since its inception in 2012, the JCF has raised more than $1 million, awarded 333 scholarships in Jackson’s name, and created an endowment of $550,000 that will allow us to continue giving scholarships. Our collective impact has been remarkable. Thank you. However, the need expressed by military family members seeking to better themselves through higher education still exists. For seven years, The Jackson Casey Memorial Golf Tournament funded our efforts, and though the tournament has ended, military families still need our support. Last year alone, ThanksUSA received nearly 2,000 applications from military kids nationwide and only 13 percent of those students received funding. We’ve seen the life-altering impact of a ThanksUSA scholarship to affect a student’s ability to attend a particular school or follow a chosen career path. We’d like to continue to make an impact. Many of you have asked how you can continue to support the JCF. With help from ThanksUSA, we have put together an annual fundraising campaign to expand the number of scholarships we can award through the JCF. The campaign will allow supporters to continue to make a difference in the lives of children of our service members and to honor Jackson’s legacy. |
Jackson Casey
July 13, 1999 – March 31, 2011 Jackson was an energetic and caring eleven year old who touched many people with his kindness in a short time.
Jackson enjoyed attending military ceremonies with his grandfather, former Chief of Staff of the Army, General George W. Casey, Jr. and was fascinated by our men and women in uniform. Learn more about the Jackson Casey Fund. Scholar Updates: Where Are They Now?

“You have helped us to keep Jackson’s legacy alive, and we have helped over 300 kids live their dream of attending college. We have always felt that a part of Jackson is at every one of these colleges where the recipients attend.” – Sean & Jenn Casey
