TREASURE HUNT 2013
Welcome to ThanksUSA's Eight American history treasure hunt (TH8) designed to celebrate America's values and to promote scholarships for the kids and spouses of the military.
For newcomers to our effort, ThanksUSA stands for Treasure Hunt Aiding Needs of Kids and Spouses of those serving the United States of America. ThanksUSA began as the "brainblast" of two Virginia schoolgirls in 2005 as a non-partisan, charitable effort to mobilize Americans of all ages to "thank" our active-duty troops by providing need-based college, technical, and vocational school scholarships to their spouses and dependents.
Treasure Hunt Eight is free ... although we hope you will make a donation to the scholarship fund for the families of our brave men and women in uniform who protect our freedoms each and every day. Every contribution counts.
This year’s Treasure Hunt will be released in six mobile device application (Apple app or Google Play app) chapters. Each chapter, or theme, will have its own App, entry period, and prize drawing. TH8 may also be played through our website for those who prefer the traditional method of participation.
All player types, individuals and school/youth groups, must submit the correct final answer of the chapter during the entry period to be eligible for prizes. Please note that we allow only one entry per chapter/per person.
The first chapter, TH8.1 Holidays, will be released on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2012. Participants will have until December 31, 2012, to submit the final “Holidays” answer and be eligible for prizes.
Beginning on January 1, 2013, ThanksUSA will begin releasing additional chapters on a monthly basis through May. Each chapter will have a theme. Participants must submit the correct final answer to the theme during its release month to be eligible for prizes.
To be eligible for the TH8 Grand Prize drawing, participants must submit correct final entries for each of the six themes. The final Grand Prize deadline is May 31, 2013.
Even if you join TH8 late you can still revisit the previous chapters, submit correct final answers, and be eligible for the Grand Prize.
