TREASURE HUNT 2007
Prizes
TH2 began on February 23, 2007, and ended on September 4, 2007.
Through the generosity of corporations and individuals, fabulous educational and technological prizes await the winners of the treasure hunt. Prizes will include iPods, computers, digital cameras, and more.
Prizes are being awarded in three phases. During phase one, winners were drawn from the classroom entries. During phase two, winners will be drawn from the individual entries. During phase three, another 12 winners will be drawn -- one for each chapter -- along with a grand prize winner. As with phase two, phase three's winners come entirely from the individual entrants.
To be valid, entries need to be submitted online (or, if you submit them by traditional mail, postmarked) by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on the entry deadline found on the chart below for each phase of the hunt. For phase two, the "last nights" run from June 7 to August 30, depending on the chapter. For phase three, the last night is September 4.
Below are the prizes for each phase. For phase three, each winner will also receive three valuable gems, an authentic Civil War bullet and an ancient Roman coin -- all in a keepsake box donated by Adeler Jewelers.
For the ThanksUSA 2007 grand prize, Adeler Jewelers has once again put the most tangible treasure into our treasure hunt.
Representing our diverse Nation and shared history in vivid color is a one-of-a-kind collection. It has luminous pearl strands, coins excavated from shipwrecks, pins and pendants; bracelets and rings adorned with vibrant gemstones including rubies, sapphires, emeralds, amethysts, garnets and citrines; and more -- including over 200 carats of genuine faceted gems. Close your eyes and imagine a genuine treasure chest abounding with jewels and precious metals; and -- with this amazing prize valued at over $25,000 -- you will realize that your dreams have come true.
