School/Youth Group Winners
$1,000 Gift Certificate
The DesEnfants Academy, a home-school from Wyoming, won a $1000 gift certificate for successfully completing TH4 Chapter One, which focuses on the history of the state of Georgia. The DesEnfants family has participated in every ThanksUSA Treasure Hunt and have won a prize each of the past three years! They enjoy the challenge of each chapter and think the Treasure Hunt is a great teaching tool.

The Priemer family, a home-school group from Michigan, won a $1000 gift certificate for successfully completing TH4 Chapter Two, which focuses on the history of the state of Montana. Carole Priemer says, "Education is so important and ThanksUSA has made it fun for my kids to learn about their country. Keep hunting for those "Treasures" and supporting the children of our military. They serve for us."

The Jones family, a home-school group from Georgia, won a $1000 gift certificate for successfully completing TH4 Chapter Three, which focuses on ThanksUSA. The Jones family loves puzzles and games. They enjoyed incorporating the challenging puzzles of TH4 into their history and geography curriculum.

Melissa Smith, head teacher at Buffalo Rock Home School in Wyoming, and her students won a $1000 gift certificate for successfully completing TH4 Chapter Five, which focuses on the history of the state of Oregon. These students have participated in every ThanksUSA Treasure Hunt to date and are happy that their diligence paid off. Melissa says, "We are so excited! This is going to be a huge boost for our school."

The Arnall family, a home school group from Georgia, won a $1000 gift certificate for successfully completing TH4 Chapter Six, which focuses on the United States Air Force. Parents/teachers Philip and Lydia say that the ThanksUSA Treasure Hunt has helped their children with critical thinking and research skills.

Arlene Feix and her youth group "JOYSKIDS" of Texas won a $1000 gift certificate for successfully completing TH4 Chapter Seven, which focuses on the history of the state of Delaware. This group home for differently-abled children uses the ThanksUSA Treasure Hunt as an exciting educational supplement. They used their $1000 prize to purchase adaptive equipment for the children.

The Young family, a home-school group from Wyoming, won a $1000 gift certificate for successfully completing TH4 Chapter Nine, which focuses on the history of the state of Colorado. Deborah Young says, "As a home school family in Wyoming we look for fun and creative opportunities for our children to learn and the ThanksUSA Treasure Hunt provided many hours of fun for all of us!"

The Madere Family Home School of Georgia won a $1000 gift certificate for successfully completing TH4 Chapter Ten, which focuses on the history of the state of Maryland. Teachers/Parents Tim and Christine find the Treasure Hunt to be a fun, yet challenging, supplement to teaching state facts and feel that it encourages a desire to learn geography and history.

Deb Soplanda, a history teacher at Williams Bay High School in Wisconsin, and students in the History Club Treasure Hunt Team won a $1000 gift certificate for successfully completing TH4 Chapter Eleven, which focuses on the history of the state of North Dakota. The history club, named Team Meaner Simikkles, loves completing treasure hunts and is ecstatic that they're efforts won a prize.

Melissa Cook, a history teacher at Union County Early College High School in North Carolina, and her students won a $1000 gift certificate for successfully completing TH4 Chapter Twelve, which focuses on the United States Marine Corps. Thirty two students from two separate classes combined their knowledge and research skills to complete Treasure Hunt Four.

Meredith Vance of Arcata, California, is the ThanksUSA Treasure Hunt Four Grand Prize Winner! Meredith won a real treasure of gems, jewels, and rare coins valued at $10,000. "I am so excited! I still can't believe that I am a winner, I feel incredibly lucky...I just want to say heartfelt thanks -- for putting on such an enjoyable treasure hunt, and of course for all you do for students and military families."
